Who intensive courses suit
An intensive course compresses a normal course into weeks rather than months, using two- and three-hour sessions instead of single hours. It works extremely well for learners who need a licence for work, who are moving away, or who already have significant private practice and just need structure and polish.
It is not a shortcut, and David won't pretend otherwise. Skill takes repetitions, and repetitions take hours. What an intensive course changes is the spacing: with sessions close together you spend far less time re-learning things you'd otherwise forget between weekly lessons.
Every course starts with an honest assessment drive. From that, David will tell you roughly how many hours you actually need — not a package number picked before he has seen you drive.
Theory test must be passed before your practical can be booked, so if you haven't sat it yet, that's the first thing to get moving.
